Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has confirmed Victor Moses will now play as a winger after two seasons as wing-back under Antonio Conte, while also admitting just what has surprised him about N’Golo Kante.
Despite starting life out as a winger, Moses has had to contend with playing as a wing-back in Conte’s formation and although he performed admirably for the Italian, he was unable to make the sort of impact he wanted going forward.

However, Sarri has reverted to a back-four in his opening three Premier League games and the Italian explained Moses needed to get up to speed about returning to playing as a winger.
He was quoted on the Metro website: ‘Because he changed the position in the pitch. Now we are trying to let him to play like a winger.
‘So we changed the position and in the new position I think he needs to improve.’
It may not be all pleasant to Moses however, as the new position he will not be playing at Stamford Bridge will mean less game time under Sarri as Chelsea have the likes of Eden Hazard, Pedro, and Willian all keen to play on the wings.
Meanwhile sari has admitted he has been surprised just how technically gifted French midfielder Kante is, with the Frenchman impressing on his new role at the club this season.
Kante is regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in world football and does a perfect job protecting the back-line at Stamford Bridge, but so far this season he has been used in a more attacking role at the club with Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho pulling the strings in midfield.
And Sarri says he was amazed at the technical capabilities of Kante.
‘Kante is a great midfielder,’ Sarri said.
‘He can play any position in my midfield. It’s not a problem for him. ‘I was surprised about the technical qualities from Kante.’
And finally, Sarri has warned Marcos Alonso that his position in the side is not safe, despite the fact he is now regarded as one of the best left-backs in world football.

‘He is a very good player and can improve in the defensive phase,’ Sarri said about Alonso.
‘Of course (I have told him). He has physical qualities at the top level. I think that he can do more in the defensive phase.
“He is a good player in both but I think he can do more.’
