Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the attacker and have tried multiple times to sign him when it became clear he would be leaving Tottenham earlier in his career.

Jose Mourinho is said to be a huge admirer of the Welshman and reports have gone as far as suggesting he has convinced him to turn down interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich to move to Old Trafford instead. However, if Real Madrid get their way, Chelsea may land the Los Blancos superstar this summer.
The Blues are unlikely to feature in the Champions League next season, meaning they will not be improving a direct rival in Europe and they could use their interest in Eden Hazard to wager a deal.

The latter has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga in the past and the lack of Champions League football may tempt Madrid into trying to land the Belgian. It will be interesting to see which team will be Bale’s final destination.
